Nordisk Film Biografer Introduces Luxurious Boutique Cinema in Copenhagen Featuring MAG Cinema Audio
In December 2024, Nordisk Film Biografer unveiled the exquisite Reservoir boutique cinema in Copenhagen's prestigious Carlsberg Byen district. This unique venue redefines luxury in Denmark's entertainment scene by combining four intimate cinema halls, a high-end restaurant, and a cocktail bar under one roof, making it the perfect destination for cinephiles and gastronomy enthusiasts alike.
Each of the four halls—Red, Blonde, Blue, and Green—boasts a unique color scheme and can accommodate between 24 and 34 guests, offering a luxurious and intimate movie-watching experience. These theaters are equipped with large screens, 2K projectors, and advanced 7.1 surround sound systems, ensuring an unparalleled level of audio-visual excellence. According to the Reservoir team, the seating includes "a mix of plush recliners and mini sofas, each with a personal side table and ambient table lamp," creating an upscale environment for enjoying food, snacks, or drinks during the screening.
To enhance its premium status and achieve impeccable sound quality, the venue chose MAG acoustic systems. The setup features the newly introduced MAG Cinema SUR-C6 compact surround speakers, specifically designed in 2024 for smaller auditoriums that demand exceptional detail and spatial precision. For low-frequency effects, the venue installed four MAG Theatron HAMMER-15 subwoofers, originally developed for high-end home cinemas. These subwoofers seamlessly adapt to commercial cinema environments, showcasing their versatility and outstanding performance.
Beyond the auditoriums, MAG Audio AIR-C5T professional installation speakers were employed to deliver seamless sound coverage across the lobby, bar, and other spaces, ensuring a cohesive audio experience throughout the venue.
