Panama City, Florida, USA. In the wake of the devastating Hurricane Michael in October 2018, Regal Regency has not only risen from the ruins but definitely also redefined the cinematic landscape. With wind speeds reaching as much as 160 miles per hour and total damage to the area estimated at $25 billion, the theater's structure had to be totally demolished and rebuilt from the ground up. The triumphant result proves that the effort was absolutely worth it.
Regal Regency now stands as a beacon of cutting-edge cinema technology. It showcases the latest innovations in cinematic experiences, featuring premium formats such as 4DX, Dolby Atmos, ScreenX, and RPX. 4DX immerses patrons with sensory delights, including captivating scents, seat movement, immersive sound, and even fog and mist effects. ScreenX provides an unprecedented 270-degree panoramic view, plunging audiences into an unparalleled cinematic journey.
To complement these state-of-the-art features, Regal selected MAG Cinema, a globally renowned sound industry leader, to outfit its Panama City theatre complex with world-class audio technology.
