GRAND ÉCRAN in La Chapelle-sur-Erdre is a contemporary cinema that plays a significant role in the cultural life of this green suburb of Nantes. Its proximity to the city and excellent transport connections have made it a popular destination for local audiences. The building itself was conceived with respect for the surrounding natural landscape and local sustainability standards, including partial energy autonomy supported by rooftop solar panels.

The cinema combines advanced projection technologies with a strong focus on comfort. It offers six auditoriums ranging from 60 to 320 seats, with screen widths between 8 and 18 meters. Among them is the premium CINEMAX® zone, featuring electrically adjustable leather recliners for an elevated viewing experience. For these luxury halls, MAG Cinema supplied custom surround speaker grilles branded with the CINEMAX logo. This elegant detail reinforces the identity of the format and reflects the type of bespoke solutions we are always pleased to provide.

Visual performance is ensured by high‑brightness 2K and 4K laser projectors, delivering stable imagery, deep contrast, and accurate color reproduction. On the audio side, the cinema features standard Dolby 7.1 configurations, while the premium auditoriums are equipped with the Dolby Atmos system for a more enveloping, dynamic, and emotionally engaging sound experience.

Each auditorium at GRAND ÉCRAN is equipped with professional MAG Cinema loudspeaker systems, selected and integrated with careful attention to the architectural specifics of each room. This ensures clear dialogue, a powerful and controlled low‑frequency foundation, and uniform sound coverage across all seating positions.

The audio installation was carried out by our long‑standing partner CinemaNext, who ensured precise system integration in accordance with current cinema standards.
