ERA 5 is a Coverage-shaping screen system.

In the ERA 5 screen speaker, the middle-frequency range is handled by eight 6-inch drivers assembled using Spread Array technology. The intentionally uneven spacing between these speakers widens the frontal lobe of vertical coverage, resulting in a more predictable and manageable frequency response.

The meticulously crafted mid-high frequency section in ERA 5 precisely shapes sound coverage, directing it to seating areas while minimizing losses and reflections from ceilings and walls. This is achieved through Coverage Control HF technology and Spread Array MF technology.

The ERA 5 screen line array inherits its high-frequency (HF) radiator from line array technology, providing narrower and more focused vertical coverage. Additionally, ERA-5 intelligently uses adaptable horizontal coverage for high frequencies: wider coverage at the bottom reaches more front-row seats than ordinary horns, while narrow coverage at the bottom focuses sound for optimal performance at rear seats.

The groundbreaking passive cardioid LF section in ERA 5

sets a new standard by effectively controlling low-frequency sound, ensuring greater consistency within the cinema hall, and eliminating unwanted sound bleed into adjacent rooms. With MAG Cinema’s innovative solution, neighbor complaints become a thing of the past.

4 Optimized coverage HF horn has a wider dispersion in the near-field and narrower in the far field. HF horn has a 40° vertical coverage and a radiation axis aiming 15° down from the horizontal plane. At an upper vertical threshold (5° up from horizontal plan) speaker has a horizontal coverage of 60°. At a lower vertical threshold (35° down from horizontal plan) speaker has a horizontal coverage of 90°
