Pathé Sint-Niklaas Upgraded with MAG Cinema Sound

Pathé Sint-Niklaas in Belgium has recently undergone a full refurbishment—effectively giving the cinema a second life in a truly premium, 100% upgraded format. Located in Sint-Niklaas (East Flanders), the hub of the Waasland region between Antwerp and Ghent, the venue sits in a lively city known for its vibrant community life and events on its expansive central square. The location is as practical as it gets: Stationsplein, right next to the railway station, making it equally convenient for locals and visitors from across the region.

The renovated site now operates as a modern 8-screen multiplex, focused not only on technology but also on guest comfort. Every auditorium features electrically adjustable Relax Seats, there’s free Wi-Fi throughout, a Starbucks Corner on-site, and an additional entertainment area—Pathé Games. On the technical side, the cinema offers a contemporary set-up with Dolby Atmos in select rooms, along with 3D screenings.

The integration of MAG Cinema systems across the venue was delivered by our partner, Cinemanext Belgium. The highlight of the project is the Dolby Atmos auditoriums: they set the performance benchmark for the entire complex and create that “you are there” sense of immersion audiences expect from major premieres.

Installed MAG Cinema equipment (for Dolby Atmos auditorium only):

✔️ 3 × MAG Cinema SCR-42L – screen speakers
✔️ 4 × MAG Cinema SUB-428 – subwoofers
✔️ 4 × MAG Cinema L-SUB – subwoofers for surround
✔️ 10 × MAG Cinema SUR-153H – surround speakers
✔️ 32 × MAG Cinema SUR-123 – surround speakers
✔️ MN Mounting Solutions – speaker mounting hardware

Pathé Sint-Niklaas is a strong example of how premium comfort should go hand in hand with premium sound. When seating, service, and technology come together as one experience, the audience stops “just watching a movie” and starts living it. That’s precisely what MAG Cinema solutions are built for.
